The Perfect Bed & Breakfast at Queenstown New Zealand ! This B&B is amazing! A beautiful historic home just across the street from a historic pedestrian bridge over the Shotover river close to Queenstown. The rooms have warm & inviting furnishings and a private bathroom. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. Every day they served a savory breakfast and even provided one to go on a day that we were traveling early for a day trip to Milford Sound. A quiet location just a hundred yards from beautiful hiking trails along the river. Our four day stay was just too short. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to New Zealand!

Stand-out accommodation in Queenstown During our 26 days staying at various facilities in the south island, The Ferry B&B was a standout. The breakfast was fantastic, including home-made bread and cooked-to-order items. Homemade goodies to come back to in the evenings was icing on the cake. The atmosphere was peaceful, comfortable, and welcoming. The decor respected the history of the building and area. Facilities were great; e.g. we were able to wash some clothes at no charge. The setting was picturesque. Location was great; it avoided the traffic congestion of Queenstown but everything was still just a quick drive away. Plus walking trails and a historic bridge were just out the door. The hosts have a passion for delivering good service.

What A Gem! Dan and Mitze have created a wonderful piece of paradise on the outskirts of Queenstown. The rooms are in great condition and the property is well cared for. There are only three rooms and Dan/Mitze live onsite. Linens were in great shape. Breakfast is a wonderful selection from their menu. There is fresh bread every morning. Eggs come from the chickens in the back yard. Dan was quite helpful in recommending that we do a River Jet Boat trip and meet them at their site, just a short drive away, rather than taking a bus from central Queenstown. Central Queenstown is just 15 minutes away. The airport is less than 10 minutes away. What a gem!

Came for the breakfast, stayed for the guinea pigs We LOVED this B&B. The room was spotless and cleaned each day, little chocolates placed on our pillows daily too! We were greater warmly and offered tea and Dan gave us local recommendations for dinner that night. Outside the window in room 2 we got to watch their chickens and guinea pigs which was an unexpected highlight! I cannot tell you how much we loved watching them. Breakfast each morning was amazing, Mitzi and Dan had several options for us so we got to try a different breakfast each day. They have oat milk and regular milk which was a big plus! Fresh bread and local jams and honeys. I could go on and on about the breakfast. We were in a rush on the first morning so they had breakfast ready early for us! Getting to eat each morning with the other guests was a delight (we’re a couple in our 20s and we loved getting to talk with some of the older couples staying there!). There were homemade daily treats in the kitchen and they have the B&B set up to feel so homey. They have laundry the guests can use as well! We cannot recommend this place enough! A quick and easy drive into Queenstown and the airport, but out of town enough to avoid some of the hassle.

This is the place to stay! 10/10 A short drive from the heart of Queenstown, the Ferry is a quaint place to stay if you want the best service. The owners are incredibly friendly and very informative, which was insightful for figuring out our plans around the area. They provide a complimentary breakfast, which is fabulous. Each of their rooms are designed beautifully, and it really felt like I was in the comfort of my own home within the first night of arriving there.

Cozy hotel This hotel is very cozy. The owners are very friendly. The breakfast was very tasty. You can still sit comfortably in the living room in the evening. The bathroom was nicely decorated. You do need a car. It is quietly located; you can walk next to the river.

Best B & B Queenstown Loved breakfast every morning cooked by Mitzi and served by Dan. Felt like being in a 5 star restaurant. The little extras like the home baked daily treat in the kitchen for everyone and the chocolate/lilac on the pillows each day was so lovely. Also great that they have a kitchen that you can use if you need to cook a meal or make a coffee and washer and dryer also. Plus the fireplace in the guest lounge room was warm and welcoming each night. The house itself is 150 years old having been a hotel back in the day so lots of history there and Dan and Mitzi have done an outstanding job in decorating the house with that old world charm. The minute you arrive and see the lovely wisteria draped over the verandah and the beautiful garden and lawn you can't wait to see inside and it doesn't disappoint. Loved the big comfy bed also and the gorgeous white linen. The 2 luggage stands instead of the usual one was good also for both our bags and made the room a lot tidier. With welcoming hosts like Dan and Mitzi this really was a home away from home.
